Deluxe Creation Studios Bags €40,000 in Orange Corners Innovation Fund

In a heartening display of entrepreneurial spirit and innovation, Lagos-based media and entertainment company Deluxe Creation Studios secured a €40,000 grant from the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF). OCIF is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands that provides startups across Africa and the Middle East essential support and access to finance.

The fund is a business pitch extension of the Orange Corners programme which fosters innovation and empowers young entrepreneurs to translate, start and grow their ideas into impactful businesses. Since its launch in 2016, Orange Corners in collaboration with the local entrepreneurship ecosystem have supported the creation of multiple businesses, in the form of funding, training, and resources through their incubation and acceleration programmes.

We asked Shola Edu, Founder of Deluxe Creation Studio what is was like to be part of Nigeria's 9th cohort and he had this to say

After completing our incubation program, we had the exciting opportunity to pitch for the innovative fund. However, during the incubation itself, we were all presented with a generous grant of €5,000. We've been a part of this program for the past six months alongside 19 other businesses from diverse industries, and it's been a truly enriching experience.

Deluxe Creation Studios is a dynamic video game company popularly known for the adventures of CHIKE and the Stickman game series. They are versatile in core segments of the creative discipline and have grown from a one-man game development outfit in 2014 to around six personnel production studio.
